Scholarships can be a significant source of college funding for students of all different backgrounds - if you know where to look, that is. Asking someone to write you a letter of recommendation for your college applications can be nerve-wracking. However, having a "brag sheet" to hand your recommender can make them more likely to accept. It may also encourage them to write about awards and personal strengths you want colleges to know about.
